The Week Before The Wedding

Pay Everything Off

Whether it’s flowers, the venue, or the DJ, it’s important to check off all the costs of the wedding as soon as possible. Though this may be stressful at the time, it prevents people from bothering you about money on your wedding day or having to deal with checks and invoices during your honeymoon. You can also talk to the providers of your wedding about paying upfront to prevent any bills from piling up as you’re just starting to navigate married life.

Check Your Shoes

If you’re wearing brand-new shoes on your wedding day, it is crucial that you make sure they’re comfortable beforehand. You want to be sure that you aren’t going to get blisters from walking down the aisle that will prevent you from dancing the night away. A simple way to fix this is by wearing your shoes around the house the week before the big day.

Get Pampered

Though the run-up to a wedding can be stressful, it is also meant to be exciting! To make sure that you enjoy the lead-up to the big day, ensure that you set aside time for yourself. This could be getting a manicure, taking a long bath, or getting your hair trimmed to look your best. However, do not take this as the time to try out new hairstyles or a facial that you’ve never had before. A breakout is not something you want to be dealing with the morning of your big day!

Pack Your Bags

If you’re staying away from home for your wedding night, it’s important to pack a bag way before the wedding day so there is no risk of forgetting things. Pre-packing everything ahead of time also allows you the flexibility to add things you forgot about when initially packing. This can also be handy for packing for your honeymoon if you know you’re leaving soon after the main event. The more you can prepare beforehand, the more you can relax and soak in the excitement of getting married.

With just seven days left till “I do,” the last thing you want to be doing is rushing around doing all the things you’ve put off doing. However, even if you are well prepared in the months and weeks running up to the big day, there are still plenty of things that can only be done in the seven days before the wedding. To help you reduce stress before the wedding day, we’ve listed some things to do in the days running up to the wedding.

Check-in with the wedding party

It’s important that everyone who has a role to play in your wedding knows where they need to be and what they need to be doing. By touching base with your bridesmaids and groomsmen in the final few days before the wedding, you can ease your worries knowing that they have their jobs taken care of. You may find it useful to compile all the crucial info (such as times, locations, and items to remember) into a document. That way they can have a printed to-do list or a photo on their phone if they forget what needs to be done.
